Use either HTML or Markdown
Here's something from the CE4 docs on Markdown

I thought the was a link in the Backlight docs but couldn't find it
Hey Matt, what do you think about placing a link to the Markdown documentation in the copy areas of Backlight Pages, album, and album set templates?

Hi Rod, your suggestion is something that would be best handled automatically in Designer. Fields that support Markdown are designated as such in the engines' XML files. We'd just need to use that information to add something like the (md) link next to the titles for fields that support it. That's similar to how (md) is shown next to Description for Cart's products.
Of course, (md) itself is a bit cryptic, so is worth revisiting.
