I just setup my first page and gallery. Most things are working well so far, just a couple of questions.
1. I'm not seeing a way to rate the photo other than in the comment dialog, am I missing something? I thought a client would be able to apply star ratings in both the gallery view and the slideshow view?
2. I don't see a way to filter the images based on star ratings.
Thanks,
George

1. Clients can only rate in the response dialog box
2. There is no filtering for ratings. You can only filter for selected images

Thanks very much... I was comparing a couple of options yesterday and that must have been a feature in one of the competing products. Any talk about adding that?
Overall things seem to be working well so far, I really don't have much time to go deep with this some I'm just trying to get something reasonably functional to replace a mostly dead Flash based option I was previously using. Photography has a back seat right now but I still do enough that I'd prefer to have something rather than nothing.

There will likely be no further updates or options for CE4 CRG, other than perhaps some browser or php compatibility.
Any new options would be added to the Backlight Client Response module.
I've seen no talk about adding the features you mentioned.

That brings up another thing that's a bit confusing to a newbie... you talk of the CE4 and Backlight and the fact that they are different... but I just purchased yesterday... I'm working with whatever they sent me... so does that mean that there is a new Client Response thing coming or that I installed the wrong thing or posted in the wrong area or, or, or.... ?

What did you buy?
If you bought the Backlight version there will be a folder named "backlight" in your download.
CE4 CRG galleries are designed in Lightroom. Are you working in Lightroom to create the design of your galleries?
If you post a link to a gallery we can tell very quickly which software was used to create it.

I'm pretty sure is Backlight, I do use Lightroom, I did purchase the Client Response module.

yep, that's Backlight.
You can address any further questions or requests to the Backlight Support forum. That way the developers are more likely to see them.

It looks to me like you've got the current Backlight version of client response. What does your order receipt tell you?

Backlight + Pages x 1
Backlight Add-on: Client Response x 1
So the receipt does refer to it as a Backlight Add-on... I guess the confusing thing here on the forum is that there is not a specific place for that listed unlike it is for CE4. Starting out it wasn't clear what the difference between CE4 and Backlight were... it's starting to become clearer now. Thanks for your patience.

CE4 is our previous software suite, now supported as a legacy product. We are actively discouraging new adoption, and trying to push those people toward Backlight as the newer, superior alternative. You can safely ignore the CE4 forums, and post whatever questions you might have about Backlight or its add-ons in "Backlight Support".
