Changing A Gallery outside of Lightroom

I inadvertently deleted the galleries and gallery sets in the publisher within Lightroom.  The files/galleries still exist on the sever.
Is it possible to change a Gallery Set name on the server?  I have looked at the gallery.xml, index.php and lib.php files within the gallery set on FileZilla and did not see where the title was.

So, you might ask, how did I loose the galleries and gallery sets in lightroom?  They got deleted on one of the Backlight updates.  The only way to get them back, as I see it, would be to recreate the galleries and then republish though lightroom...   Did I have a backup..  NO!!!!    everbody knows that backups  are for WUSSES!!! NOT! LOL!

The gallery set "Spring 2016 Awards" should read "Spring 2017 Awards".

Thanks for your help yet again!

Re: Changing A Gallery outside of Lightroom

Hi Kevin, that sounds like a pain.  This can only be done by updating the database directly.  To do so:

1. Log into the Backlight admin
2. On the Backlight landing page, click on the link phpLiteAdmin
3. Log in with password of 'admin'.  (this sounds insecure, but is a secondary login that can only be performed if already logged in as Backlight admin)
4. Click on 'publisher/master.sq3' on the top-left of the phpLiteAdmin page
5. Click on 'album' in the main part of the page
6. Find the album you're looking for, and click 'Edit'
7. Change the Title value
8. Click 'Save Changes'.

Worked perfectly!!!    Thanks a ton Ben.

You know when they say "a little knowledge can be dangerous".
Just how volatile is the data base.
I am going to have to be very careful with that little bit that you gave today....

Thanks again!!!

Hi Kevin, I'm glad to hear.  You could do a lot of damage tinkering in there..  the main purpose of the secondary password is to stop users going in there unless advised to.
