I have updated my website to use the latest Pangolin templates and am really impressed. Matthew and Ben have done an outstanding job on this release!
It was just recently that I updated my site to Backlight from CE4 and I spent a lot of time developing my on version of the top pallet. This release made it a breeze to setup and the end result is a lot cleaner. I love the Justified gallery style since the majority of my images are mainly landscape orientation.
Take a look and let me know what you think: https://www.montetrumbull.com/.
Thanks again to Matthew, Ben, and Rod.

Always knocking it out of the park, Monte. I loved the previous version of your site, and I love this one too.
And thank you for your kind words about the update.

Looking nice, Monte! Always good source for inspiration. Now I will spend the weekend wondering if I should move the logo into the top-bar....

Hey Monte,
Just discovered this: On my iPhone, the search icon doesn't fit into the top bar and appears below the mail icon. When I add something to the cart, the mail icon moves down as well.

Hey Monte,

One potential way to fix this, on mobile take the logo image out of of the top pallet.
Add a masthead (primary or secondary) to the header, and make it visible only on mobile. This will free up that space in the top pallet to be used by other things (i.e. cart widget, etc.) on narrower displays.

Mine does the same. Is there any way to tell if the icons wrap in the top pallet and make it taller? phplugins or css?
Thanks.

We're not making the top-pallet taller. It's fixed at 48px. If it doubles to accommodate icons wrapping, then it just eats into screen real estate which is already at a premium on mobile devices. That's less screen for reading or viewing images.
The built-in solution is as I've described above. If you're filling that bar with stuff, then you need to shuffle some of it out on mobile. We do this automatically for the navigation, putting it into the sidebar.
The solution for the masthead is to put it into the page header on mobile. And the solution for social media icons to to put them into the toolbox (this being a full-time solution).
In your case, Charlie, you might create two logo images. This because your full title is quite wide, "Stalking Light Photography". So perhaps display a different image on mobile, maybe dropping the graphic icon and reading "Stalking Light". Using a smaller font site. Or make it two lines:

OK, I understand. I'll play with those ideas. Thanks.

Hi guys. Thanks Daniel for reminding me I meant to get back to that! I played with it this morning and got things to fit nicely down to about 360px. What would be nice is to be able to target the social media buttons in the tray and turn them off on smaller displays. That is what I did on my previous version. I can't see a way to do that because the li itself does not have a separate class that I am seeing. Would that be something that could be changed in the future Matt?

The social media buttons, if loose, can be targeted using .social_media. If toolboxed, you can target the entire box with #social_media.

Thanks Matthew. I will play with that. Appreciate the quick response!
