Cart icon in Pangolin index

There seems to be no option to turn off the Cart icon (when Cart is installed) from the image index. Is there a way to turn them off and only show them on the full image display like before?

No option to hide them entirely, but there is an option to display the icons only when hovering the mouse over an image. That's under Thumbnail Grid => Grid Icons => Always Display Icons.

If you want to hide them entirely, you could use custom CSS to do so.
