Hello community,
I just updated Backlight & Pages, followed the instructions in the readme including the database updates and clearing of the template cache.
I now miss the fontawesome icons on my pages, in the menues and also in Backlight admin.
What could have gone wrong?
A fine weekend to all of You
Michael
edit: I compared the .htaccess file in the update line by line with the one on the server. All the webfont related lines are present. I even renamed my original .htaccess and uploaded the version from the update for a try.

I'm not seeing the problem on my test site. Can you post a link to a problematic page?

Hello Rod,
one example is https://fotos.michilge.de/galleries/TSG … son_16-17/
It's an album index page. In the breadcrumbs and in the menues the FA-icons don't show. If You click a thumbnail into on of the galleries it's the same there. The Photoswipe presentation of single large images are affected too.
The same with my Backlight admin pages.

There's an error loading the fonts on your page. I Googled the error, and this seems to me the most likely culprit/solution:
... with Font Awesome, which is a really well known font. Turned out this was caused by a problem with FTP. The file was uploaded as text (ASCII) instead of binary, which corrupted the file. I simply changed my FTP software to binary, re-uploaded the font files, and then it all worked.

Thank You Matthew. That solved it. The fresh install of Filezilla on my new computer was still set to ASCII.
Will get another hour of sleep and then explore the changes with Pangolin.
