Did you clear your cache since updating the localization? You can clear the template cache from the Designer page.

Might be a silly question, but did you scroll down the Localization screen and save the settings?
I ask because it looks like other localization settings aren't being applied.

I've seen a problem like this before, which may be related. The localised text is saved into a single, default language. If, for some reason, the Publisher is set to use another language, then the text changes in Designer won't match.
Can you try visiting Backlight > Publisher > Settings, and if there is a Language field, change it to 1 (just the number 1, nothing else).
If that doesn't help, then please email me a Backlight admin login so that I can look further into this.

I'm glad that solved it. Rod, that setting shouldn't be available for editing, but we don't (yet) have a way of fully hiding settings.
