I know we've been thru this many times before but I seem to be having a brain cramp: I've made some design changes to this site I'm building but for some reason, I only get the standard template look.
It must be something very basic I'm not doing...but what?

Also, I'd like the file name to appear on the gallery thumbnails and the large image.
In backlight/album settings/image settings/image metadata I've indicated [Filename] in every box, yet they do not show up. I'm using photoswipe for the large image because single-image page seems disabled. At least it does not show.

Metadata tokens use curly braces: {Filename}

As to your site changes, make sure you're using the correct page template.
Make sure any site caching that your host may provide is turned off while designing.
Clear Template cache.
Clear browser cache.
Other than that, we'd need Backlight login credentials to take a look.

I am actually using the curly braces for the metadata tags {Filename};
In Publisher, my custom designed template is not available, only the Standard Album Template. My custom designed template is called
GBC (page principale).
In Backlight, the main PAGE template is GBC (page principale); the Album Sets and Album templates also use GBC (page principale).
If you care to look at my settings, use admin / 7754.
I was just trying to "whip up" a quick page to show a client some images and it's turning out to be quite the experience.

If Publisher is not showing your templates, then make sure the Publisher instance is connected to the website in question. The API URL for that site should be
http://pideja.ca/gbc/backlight/publisher

Login credentials don't work with the site you're asking about

Very sorry about this unfortunate mistake.
Credentials are admin / garik
Also, in the Publisher, I have the correct API URL but still my custom templates don't show...

I see only one custom template: GBC (page principale)
My guess is that the parentheses might be the cause of the problem.
I just cloned that template and named it GBC clone
See if that shows up in Lightroom.
If you want to send me your API key, I can also look from my end to see if which templates are showing up.

I renamed the Page template to GBC. It still does not show up in Publisher.

(slap my head, I should have seen this right away)
You're only seeing the Standard Album template because that's all you have. You have a Page template named GBC, but page templates don't appear in Publisher under Albums or Album Sets. You need to create a custom Album template first. (and a custom Album Set template) if you need custom templates rather than modifying the existing Standard templates.
The Standard Album template is using the GBC page template, however.
Your home page is using the Backlight Standard page template, not your GBC page template

Hi Rod,
Been away a few days...
I re-checked the settings for the Album Set and Album and made some design changes. In Publisher, the Album templates are identified (correctly) as GBC album.
The HOME page does not display correctly: none of my design changes show + thumbnails are way too large;
The ALBUM pages have small thumbnails on the large background (but I can live with that for now.); large image displays correctly.
Still, can't find what is wrong.

In fact, the Album pages are OK seems to me. It's the HOME and CONTACT pages that are the problem.

Check on the page templates that those two pages are using. Currently your Home and Contact pages are using a template named "Backlight Standard Page", not your GBC template.
Simply change the page template for those pages.

Your Home page has an album set inserted into it. It's not surprising that the thumbnails look different than those in your albums.
Change the thumbnail settings your album set template

Thanks Rod - no telling what a nudge will do to help go forward.
A quiet now on the northern front - for now.

Just noticed that the large image display only works in Photoswipe not in Single Image mode. Why?
In Photoswipe, is it possible to disable any image sharing with social medias?

do you have an example? It works for me.
In Photoswipe, is it possible to disable any image sharing with social medias?
yes. In the album template > Large Image Presentation settings under Photoswipe.

On my box, the single-image presentation only works if I right click and choose display in a new tab. Wonder why. I did the cache clean and the browser history clear to no avail.
Thanks for the media sharing off tip. I realize that most of my mistake are due to not paying enough attention to details and to all the settings in Backlight.
UPDATE: got it! Don't really know how but I ran the browser history clear again and...voilà. I now have single image display.
