Move Backlight to new folder

Good day,

I wanted to move my Backlight page to a new folder for migration period.

Used to be in "domain", shall be in "domain/ttg".

I moved index.php and .htaccess to folder ttg,
moved folders backlight and galleries to folder ttg.

I can access the galleries with domain/ttg/galleries.
I can acess the backlight login with domain/ttg/backlight.

But if I try to login, I get
"Not Found
The requested URL /ttg/backlight/ was not found on this server."

The same for the search:
"The requested URL /ttg/backlight/search/ was not found on this server."

The other pages can be found, like the galleries themselves, the about and contact pages.

Obviously somewhere I have to edit some paths somehow, but where? In the administration or in the index.php?

Thanks,
Markus

Re: Move Backlight to new folder

Ben is likely going to need at least a link to the site

Found:
http://www.entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.com/ttg/contact/

Not found:
http://www.entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.c … ht/search/

I have changed in Backlight settings the site URL to http://www.entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.com/ttg/, don't know if this was good, bad or neutral...

Basically just all data that have been at domain level have been moved to folder /ttg

Found:
http://www.entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.c … /index.php

Obviously index.php is not found automatically while being there.

The .htaccess on domain level is not the backlight one, on /ttg folder it is.

But the whole idea is that on domain level my old index.html is used and only from folder /ttg downwards the backlight stuff.

Hm, this manual entering of index.php to URL does not work for admin folder...still not found in that case.

Re: Move Backlight to new folder

In admin folder I see only file .htaccess_disabled, no .htaccess, no idea if this should be like this (but is since first installation according to file date).

Aha, renaming  .htaccess_disabled --> .htaccess

Re: Move Backlight to new folder

And Lightroom does not find Publisher:

http://www.entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.c … publisher/

--> "unable to find Publisher. Please check that the API URL is correct."

Re: Move Backlight to new folder

After renaming the .htaccess file in admin I can login.
When I try to go to Publisher settings, again not found.
I look in folder backlight/publisher/ and see there as well only a .htaccess_disabled.

Has this disabling been done by my provider or by backlight?

Re: Move Backlight to new folder

After renaming this file also, I can access publisher settings, and Lightroom finds Publisher again.
God knows what I'm destroying while doing all that.

that search page is looking for styling in:
entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.com/backlight/publisher/resource.php
It should be looking in:
entscheidend-is-aufm-platz.com/ttg/backlight/publisher/resource.php

this implies an incorrect Site URL in Backlight > Settings
It might also be due to the template cache. Try clearing that by clicking on Designer. In the Designer Dashboard, click the Clear Template Cache link.

This is in Backlight. I'm not sure why but I imagine it's something Ben and Matt added just in the case of specific server issues.

If things continue to be weird, I suggest sending Ben an email with a link to this topic as well as Backlight Admin and FTP credentials.

Who is your host?

You need to change the API URL in Publisher (Lightroom) to match the new location of the site. Basically add that ttg/ folder in the URL.
