Hi, in the past days I have installed Wordpress and configured a theme to test a blog. All works fine. But now I have the question - what is the advantage, if I use the Backlight Wordpress plugin?
I have at time no know-how about this. Where can I find some infos about the design which I can do with this plugin? If I need an advertising banner - can I implement it?
Edit: Advertising banner is the wrong word. I want to create a blog for a travel tour and I want to implement logos of sponsors on the blog site.

The wordpress theme allows you to integrate your blog into your website with the same look and feel, menus, masthead, etc.

Your Wordpress theme will be based on the design of your selected page template, created in Backlight's designer.

Also realize that the Backlight WordPress module is not a WordPress plug-in. It installs in Backlight and creates a WordPress theme.

Thank you, but is it possible to add logos of sponsors or with plugins other stuff into the blog template?

I used to do this in pre-backlight days with phplugins.
You may, however, find an easier way using a WordPress plug-in.
Currently, I just include the HTML provided by affiliates in a text widget in the sidebar.
For example: http://backlight-rb-test.barbeephoto.com/home.php
And while this is just a Backlight page, you can do the same thing in WordPress

Backlight's sidebars are widget-enabled in the Wordpress theme, so using Wordpress' widgets is the intended solution.
