Auto update feature no longer working

Hi,

I'm connected as an admin, my site is viewed in another browser tab but it is no longer longer auto updating. No "gear" icon. I tried with Chrome and Firefox. Did I miss some new setting ?

Hi Patrick, you haven't missed anything - there aren't any new settings. Have you tried clearing the template cache and also clearing your browser cache? Which URL are you looking at for auto-refresh? Have you had a look at the browser console to see whether there are any JavaScript or other errors?

Thanks. Clearing the browser cache fixed the problem in both Firefox and Chrome.

I'm glad to hear. Ideally you wouldn't need to clear the cache (or do a hard refresh). Some of the changed files between versions static files, the browser caching of which we have no control over.
