I like to use Backlight CRG and Cart inside a RapidWeaver Project. With CE4 I used an iFrame to import the site, but I hope there is a smarter way to do that by using Backlight.

Backlight is not designed to be embedded into frames, nor to work with Rapidweaver. It's entirely standalone.

That sounds bad. Backlight is installed at a subdomain and I only need the body content - no menu, sidebar, header or footer. This way I worked with the CE4 version - that should work with backlight too, but I hoped you have a better solution for me.

Have you tried creating a Backlight template that doesn't have a header, nav, or footer?
(like this: http://backlight-rb-test.barbeephoto.com/?page=landing)
You will still get the icon for the tray link when the page goes mobile, but that can be hidden by either making all the associated colors the same as the background, or, better yet, with custom css.
I can't speak to whether or not it would still function in an i-frame.

Backlight is not designed for use in iframes. You make have luck with it, but we can't support anything that breaks.

CE4 was not designed to work in frames either. It's not feature we have ever supported, in any release, since we started in 2007.

Thanks for your fast support. I tested Backlight inside an iFrame and it works well. I can will embed Backlight now into my existing Website. The only thing I need to do is adjust some elements like colors, fonts and so on, to give it the feel and look like the rest of my Site.

BTW, it would be great to have a general quick color scheme for all colors to find a well balanced color set for a site.
Offline
you can google for that. All sorts of sites out there that have color scheme examples.
here's just one that showed up on the first page of a Google search: https://coolors.co/

Thanks Rod, but thats not what I mean. If I like to change the colors I have to go to all your color settings and that takes a while. It's great to have the option to change everything separate, but anyway a general (fast) set for all colors (e.g. text, link, button…) would be very helpful and a big time saver for try different sets.
Offline
Oh. Yep, that would be helpful.
To some extent, the color picker has that already. It looks like the last few colors created are there ready to use.

That's right, Rod. The colour picker keeps two sets of recently-used colours, one for those pickers that support transparency and another than don't.
I'm very impressed with Spectrum, the library we use for this.
Offline
is there a limit to the number of custom colors it saves?
I don't suppose there's a utility in Spectrum that allows for exporting and importing of color picker sets?
