Not sure with the proper term is but I upgraded to Backlight 1.1 yesterday and now some of the pictures don't show on the collections/sets that I have created. Three of the thirteen do show and it is always the same three that show and the same ten that do not.

I see that the thumbnails are not showing for the albums in that set
Did you clear template cache as well as visiting the required sections in the backlight back end to finish the update?
Try editing each album and just clicking the Edit button.
One other thing to try is updating the album files. In Backlight, go to Publisher and click the Update Album Files link on the Publisher dashboard page.

I did. I'll try the other tonight.

oh, have you also tried changing the cover images for those sets?
(that should have been my first suggestion)

I have not. I'll add it to the list.

Seems Backlight has an issue when using names with certain punctuation marks like apostrophes, like in your "Kellogg’s Tour of Championship" name. Try removing the apostrophes and the issue should resolve themselves. Been there, done that.

that applies to file names, it shouldn't apply to album titles.

Sorry I missed that. My bad.

Well that's a whole other issue I was not aware of.

For some reason the thumbnails that were in those sets that aren't showing anything now have no pictures. Not sure how that happened.

album sets do not automatically contain thumbnails; Lightroom cannot publish images to album sets. You need to either choose the cover image by editing the album set in Publisher and clicking on the Cover Image drop-down, or you can export your own thumbnails and upload them to the album set's thumbnails/ folder if you want random thumbnails to show for a set.

Rod, he's saying he updated yesterday...
I upgraded to Backlight 1.1 yesterday and now some of the pictures don't show on the collections/sets that I have created. Three of the thirteen do show and it is always the same three that show and the same ten that do not.
Is it possible he updated the entire directory instead of just the files and folders indicated in the Readme file, thus the issues? In short, did he "update" incorrectly? I've done a few updates myself since running Backlight and have never seen the problems the OP is having.
I know only the OP can answer that, but I'm asking is it a possibility?
Oh, and upgraded to, or upgraded from? I.E. from Backlight 1.0 to 1.10 or from CE4 to Backlight?
Just curious.

I don't know what happened. I'm pretty sure it was working with the prior version but there were definitely no images there after the upgrade. Maybe it wasn't working before and I hadn't noticed. Pretty sure I didn't mess with the Galleries folder. Any way, all is good now and that's what counts.

I'm glad it's working. This doesn't sound like anything that the Backlight 1.1 upgrade would have caused.

I agree. You shouldn't do this kind of stuff with a cocktail in hand. Thanks for the help.

It really depends, Bob. To me coding is like playing pool. I peak at about one drink then it's downhill from there.
