Hey all, im trying to save some disc space with my galleries now getting huge. My current image settings are 800px x 800px, thumbnails 320px x 320px and jpg quality of 67%..
images are around 100K each with thumbnails 30k and 15k for mobiles.
Anyone have any recommended settings? these are client Highlight galleries so the quality needs to be reasonable but not 4k. Its a balance between load time and quality, curious what others have

As a start, have you read Jeffrey Friedl's excellent article on LR jpeg quality settings? http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/jpeg-quality

Hi there, yep good article on compression. I'm also interested in more real life screnarios, what others who use the plugin's have found works best for them. Always good to see how everyone has invented their own wheel as it were.

I'm publishing images at 1200px on the long side at about a quality setting of 70. I find that the images look good on the desktop as well as on my retina display iPad.

Thanks Rod, approx what size do your images come out at? I'm trying to keep them under 100K each

I don't know off the top of my head, but you can take a look at any of them and check the image properties.
