My Backlight site now live

Hi Guys,

I've given my old CE4 site a real going over and I'm pretty pleased with the result. smile

I've used Backlight + Pages, Theatre, Client Response, the Wordpress Theme and a bit of custom work on the home page. I've tried to achieve a really clean look so my pictures take centre stage.

Thanks to Matt, Ben and the team for help, suggestions and some raised eyebrows in the process.

Any comments, criticism, suggestions gratefully received.

Re: My Backlight site now live

Hi Jon,

Great work & thanks for sharing.

Can I ask - how did you setup your 'Autumn Arrives' & 'Grovely Wood' sections on your home page?  They look like galleries on the home page but then they link to your respective blog pages.  Is that the custom work you mentioned or it is achievable with backlight + pages + wordpress?

I'm trying to do something similar but am not all that familiar with website code so my ability to do anything custom would be very limited.

Many thanks in advance.
Deirdre

Very Sorry Deirdre,

Completely missed your comment.

I do use the Backlight Wordpress Plugin, however his has no bearing on my homepage. The recent posts section on the home page uses code to pull the latest two posts directly from my blog. The code is just HMTL and a couple of Wordpress Hooks and a little CSS. It automatically updates when I add a new post.
