navigation bar menu location

For reasons I am not clear on my navigation bar jumped to the top of the website over the masthead and I want it under the masthead. Cannot find how to change the location on the default template. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
John

Re: navigation bar menu location

The same appeared to me some month ago. There was a wrong entry in my html code in page copy area. On my index site it was a colour code, I had forgotten to set the ending code (</font>) but set a new starting code (<font color). If you fix it, the navigation bar will appear under the masthead.

Example:

<font color="#FFD700">TTG Publisher </font><font color=.........text........</font>

Re: navigation bar menu location

kanga, as Rainer suggests, this usually occurs do to a syntax error in some HTML you've added. For example, opening a tag and not closing it. Take a close look at any HTML you've put into your pages, PHPlugins, etc. and you'll probably find the cause.

Re: navigation bar menu location

Thanks to you both. Will look at the code, but I know that I have not entered any custom code. I only make changes via Backlight.

Re: navigation bar menu location

If you post a link to a page that's misbehaving we might be able to find the problem

Re: navigation bar menu location

Oh yeah. Not closing html-tags in the copy area can make you sweat. Try a font awesome icon without the </i> to have some fun. If you don't find it, do as Rod offered. :-)

Re: navigation bar menu location

It ended up being the setting for masthead location. If you set the masthead to be in the main column, navigation will be pushed to the top of the page.
