backlight, thumbs should not change

Hi i am Jack
a newbe with backlight, I hope I can find some solutions.

- My question:
1. I would like to create 1 single thumbnail leading to a sub page (and not having from every photo a thumb).
I work with the ftp-program transmit and could just drag and drop it in a folder.

2. I would like to integrate my new build (html) simple viewer galleries. Can I create a link with the thumb, that leads me to that sv-gallery?
Or any other idea?

Hope I could make my thoughts clear, since I am not a pro, just learning by doing.
Thanks
Jack

Hi Jack,

I work with the ftp-program transmit and could just drag and drop it in a folder.

If you mean you'd like to have a single thumbnail in an albums set representing a Backlight album, you can do this in the album set-up in the Basic Settings tab under Cover Image.

Otherwise, for both of your questions, you'll need to use html in the page copy. Here's more on doing that:

The post is primarily for the old Lightroom plug-ins, but I've updated it for Backlight. The html is the same though.

And if you want to have a nicely formatted page with columns and rows, use the Responsive Grid Layout:

We do not support SimpleViewer.

Hi Rod,

thanks for the "custom thumb nail" hint looks much better this way.

This is an article by Matthew that helped too.
