Hello
I currently use CE3 Gallery, CE 3 STAGE, Galleria, and Auto Index to make my simple galleries. I upload the galleries manually through FTP. The gallery Top index page is an "off-site" page referenced from my total website which is made and maintained using Rapid Weaver web design software for Mac. I have the gallery looking almost identical to the Rapid Weaver pages.

My question is, is it possible to use Backlight in a similar fashion, that is integrate it with my Rapid Weaver site. And how much work is it going to be to do it
My site is hosted by Bluehost, so that part should be easy.
Thanks in advance,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Backlight exists within its own folder, so you're free to build non-Backlight stuff around that. So you might have something like:
/backlight
/galleries
/rapidweaver_stuff
rapidweaver01.html
rapidweaver02.html
etc.
And that's all fine. In this case, you would probably not use Backlight's Pages Add-on.
Or if you want to use Backlight for your Home page, then do use the Pages Add-on, and build your rapidweaver pages around your installation.
Honestly, though, you might find it's easier to just use Backlight's pages and forego RapidWeaver altogether.

Matthew,
Thanks for the succinct reply. I have a lot of pages in my Rapid Weaver site and need to add lots of new pages on occasion, (exhibition announcements, new books, etc), but will consider your ideas and take a more detailed look at Backlight and Pages.
And you are saying that </backlight> would be the top folder and the Rapid Weaver pages would go within that.?
Note: currently everything is in a folder on Blue host under <public_html/edo>

It would be:
/public_html/backlight
/public_html/galleries
etc.
You would not put anything into the /backlight folder that is not Backlight; all of your Rapidweaver assets would be outside of that folder.

Thanks again for the quick reply. Hopefully I will get some time to try it out soon.
