Suppressing File Names in Galleries

How can I suppress the file names appearing when a gallery is displayed? I'm quite happy with the 1/24 or whatever appearing in the upper-left-hand corner.

Re: Suppressing File Names in Galleries

in your album set, look under Image Settings > Image metadata.

After you make the necessary change, republish the images. In Publisher settings, check the "push metadata without updating existing photos" checkbox to make this go faster.

In version 1.0.2, empty captions fall back to the image title; empty titles fall back to the image file name.

The four fields in Image Metadata have been blank for several hours now while I test. There have been several republishings, but I just did another one with no change. The file name is still appearing. I tried to use the Publisher function to rename the files to a sequencing "1 of etc." but to no avail because of a Publisher issue. I also could not find the "push metadata without updating existing photos" checkbox, but that could be because I am getting tired.

Thanks, Matthew, for your response. I missed it while I was preparing my response to Rod. What should I put in these titles to suppress the file name?

Re: Suppressing File Names in Galleries

You can put anything you want. Another metadata token or just plain text. As long as the title field is not empty, the file name will not appear.
Again, you'll have to republish he images to see the changes.

Re: Suppressing File Names in Galleries

Actually I don't want anything to appear. I just tested with entering several blanks in each field and that appears to work.

Re: Suppressing File Names in Galleries

I've made a change for 1.0.3 that will allow captions to appear blank.
