Fusion of old and new

Because I liked the CE4 Galleria so much, I have made it as a front-end to the indeed excellent Backlight environment. Still in test, but working quite well already. Only thing missing now: Slideshow!

Nice.

Sorry for the delay on slideshows. I know people want them, and I'm looking forward to getting to work on it after the cart release.

Re: Fusion of old and new

Gained enough confidence with Backlight to move everything over into my 'mainstream' Web-address: http://www.wimrietveld.nl

Behind the tab 'Galleries' is the new Backlight environment. Behind the tab 'Roadrunner' is the classic CE4 environment, to be slowly migrated to Backlight.

Hi wrietvel,
a very nice solution with the slideshow from CE4.

My home on m testside is the only side that I do not even like. That's why I find your solution very interesting.
Would you tell me how you have installed the slideshow? If I get out properly, my slideshow from CE3's index.php.

that would have to begin here:
<Div class = "core clearfix">

<Div id = "galleria-slideshow" class = "clearfix">

Does this chapter in phplugins? Or how you solved this?

Thank you very much

Markus

Re: Fusion of old and new

It is quite simple Markus.
First of all make a subdirectory in your main Webserver directory (mine has the name bl). Copy the Backlight environment into this subdirectory. Use Lightroom CE3 Pages or CE4 Pages to build your Home page with Galleria content. Make sure that the Galleries, Contact and Search menu labels point to the just created Backlight directory (in my case: /bl/galleries , /bl/?page=contact and  /bl/backlight/search/ ), while the Home menu label points to the root directory as: / .

Next copy the CE3/CE4 Page to the root directory, also copy ttg-be into the root and make sure that all permissions are right (777 for /bl/galleries, bl/backlight/data and ttg-be/data) and Presto!

Good luck and have fun.
Wim R.

PS: I use phplugins only to point to my custom.css stylesheet for the shadow around my Galleria home page.
