With CE4 you could define big screen size and download size separately. Where can I set it in Backlight?
Want to have a download button in catalog view on each preview icon. Did work in CE4 seems to be missing in Backlight?!

Matt will need to answer about the functionality.
It should be noted that Backlight is not CE4. There will be some differences.

Backlight only allows the "photos" rendition to be downloaded; this is the same rendition displayed in the large-image presentation (i.e. Photoswipe).

OK. This - first of all - should be pointed out clearly while advertising backlite. Without this function backlite is totally useless for us.
Will this function be in backlight soon? By the way - the dowloads should support tiff with alpha channel too.

I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not aware of any product that puts what it doesn't do front and center.
We have no roadmap for improved downloads support in the Client Response Add-on or standard albums, but I understand it's something you (and others) would like to see. We appreciate this type of feedback, and would like to see Backlight become everything that users want it to be. Because it's a new system, though, it takes some time, research and experimentation to find the best way to fit in each feature.
Cart is the next milestone item on our roadmap, and it is meant to support downloadable products, so I expect we will be putting some thought into the provisioning of downloads as we work toward the next release.

I will echo the need for full res download capabilities. I am glad I asked before upgrading as I use CRG for final file delivery and Backlight will not be usable for me unless / until this feature becomes available.
