Text wrapping in grid

Hi chaps,
I'm seeing something odd when I resize my browser window.

This does not look right.

A tad narrower is OK

and in more or less Mobile mode is OK

Re: Text wrapping in grid

it looks to me that you've set the columns to 2 for large displays. In the album set template, take a look at
Album Max-width and  Columns at Screen Breakpoints

Re: Text wrapping in grid

Thanks Rod,
I'll check that out and the top level where the album sets sit as they all display incorrectly from full screen until I narrow the browser window.

Re: Text wrapping in grid

Hi Rod,
Changing Max Columns to 2 from 4 sorted it. I need to look at these parameters more and test methodically to see what causes what to happen.

Re: Text wrapping in grid

Several of Backlight's layouts allow you detailed control over the number of columns at various screen breakpoints. In your album set and album templates, look out for a section called "Columns at Screen Breakpoints". It's not available for every layout, but is for most; I think the Classic grid might be the only one without it, and I might add it there later.

You'll want to set "Max. Columns" and "Columns at Page Breakpoint".

Then you'll want to set all of the sliders under "Columns at Screen Breakpoints" to jive with those settings. You can use your browser's developer tools to help visualize larger screen sizes; most have such options available now (I might do a video on this at some point). Try Chrome: https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/device-mode

The "Columns at Page Breakpoint" is fun in that it allows you to step back some. So maybe just ahead of your breakpoint, your layout is two or three columns, and you want only two thumbnail columns in your grid. Then at the breakpoint, you suddenly go to a single-column layout with a much wider grid area, and having two grid columns is way too big. This slider then allows you to step back up to a four-column grid, and you can use subsequent breakpoints to step down again all the way to mobile.
