Hello,
I Have CRG4 version 6.1.3 and I use Publisher to publish my Gallery.
When I Put a password in my CRG Galery in album property, feature tab; I can't open the gallery on my IPhone and my Ipad.
I am sure that I type the right user name and password. I have the same issue with different galery. I never had this problem with CRG 3
It's work on the computer, but not on mobile.
In integration Tab, CLient management is on "Standalone"
Do I miss something ?
THank you.
Albert

did you enter the password credentials in the albums under the Features tab?
otherwise, Matt or Ben will probably need a link to the albums.

Hmm. I just tried a test stand-alone crg album with password protection on my own site and it worked fine.
but I'm seeing the same problem you're seeing when I try accessing your album. I also tried Chrome for iOS and get a similar error.
Can you access CRG albums that don't have password protection enabled?
Are you inserting any code via phplugins anywhere?

There's nothing in the CRG plug-in that would affect iOS devices like that. And like I said, it works fine on my site.
what about extra code? are you using phplugins to add code? Could be that your host has something going on behind the scenes too.

Hello
I don't have any extra php plugins. I don't know what I should verify ob the host since my old crg3 password protected galery works fine.
In the version 3 there was an option to make the galery mobile compatible, is that options still exist in version 4 ?
Thanks

all CE4 web engines create mobile compatible pages. All you should need to do is check the Enable Password Protection checkbox in Output Settings.
Have you tried exporting and uploading the template again?
Does an exported and uploaded password protected gallery work on iPhone (as opposed to a Publisher created album)?

I will re export the template and let you know

also try testing an exported and uploaded password protected CRG rather than an album. That will help narrow down the problem.

Hello Rod,
I dit the following tests
1)
- I delete the previous album
- I export a new template
- Create a new password protected album with publisher (same album name, same userName and same Password as earlier)
- Put 4 pictures
http://www.belartphoto.com/clients/bapt … /index.php
- AND I EXPERIMENT THE SAME PROBLEM
2)
- I select a couple of picture
- In Output Settings, I enable Password Protection and put a master and guest credential (guest credential are the same as earlier)
- I export the galery from the web module
- And copy the exported galery in clients folder
http://www.belartphoto.com/clients/lebapteme/index.php
- AND I EXPERIMENT THE SAME PROBLEM
Thank you for your help

This is something Ben or Matt will need to look into. My guess is that it's a hosting issue.
Ben will likely need more information like who you're hosting with as well as ttg-be admin credentials and possibly FTP access.
If you want to save some time, you can email all that info to Ben

Thanks

Hi Albert, thanks for the access details. At this point I don't know why that would be happening. Rod suggested a hosting issue, and it looks like that to me. I've had a look at the Safari inspector from the iPad via the Mac, and it doesn't reveal anything.

Hello Ben
How could I address that to Netfitms ? I don't know witch settings should be adjusted ?
Thank you

I would just describe the problem to them, telling them that when password protection is enable, that the server disconnects when using iOS devices. And that this is not happening to others who are hosting elsewhere.
(this is actually the first time I can remember something like this happening to password protected galleries)
Send them a link to one of your galleries so that they can take a closer look at what is happening.
Do you know anyone that can check the galleries with another brand of mobile device, like a Samsung or other?

Hello,
I've opened the case at netfirms , they told me the following
" I have checked the URLs in Apple device and I was able to replicate the issue. I have updated the A records of the domain belartphoto.com to 66.96.160.143 and it will get updated in 1 to 12 hours"
I don't understand why the A record could cause this problem, but anyway .....
I'll publish some new albums and test it.
Thank you for your help.
