Hello, I am very new, just downloaded and watched the install video. The thing is I can't get it to work. I have tried and tried. Wiped my computer and started from scratch, new download of LRcc, so here is the issue.
When I try to authenticate, the error message is " Could not connect to network. You need to be online to use TTG Publisher." I AM ONLINE! This is the url - https://nikrocklin.com/ttg-be/publisher/
I can publish to Facebook and also upload a web gallery from the web module to my server.
I changed from 755 to 777 and that didn't help.
I deleted all TTG from my server, 1&1, and re-enstalled and it is still not publishing.
I tried http and needed to switch to https.
PLEASE HELP, it has been very frustrating.
Thanks so much in advance!!
Nik

Oh, also if I use http and not https I get this message - Unable to find Publisher.
Please check that the API URL is correct.

looks like server issues?
I can't even access your site: https://nikrocklin.com/ I get a connection timed out error.
I get a page not found error by going to http://nickrocklin.com/ttg-be/publisher/
I get a connection time out if trying https://nickrocklin.com/ttg-be/publisher/
If publisher is installed correctly, a specific error message should be seen:
{"status":"error","message":"The page sent an action which was not available."}

Rod,
Thanks so much, indeed it was a server issue, I am able to authenticate now. I will finish the process in hopes of no more speed bumps.
Thanks again!

well..... I hit another one.
So I spoke with 1 and 1 and they set me up so the domain name is pointing to ttg-be, now I am able to see ttg login page. I can go on and set all the settings at my domain name. nikrocklin.com
BUT
now I can't authenticate in LR.
http://nikrocklin.com/ttg-be/publisher/
I get;
Unable to find Publisher.
Please check that the API URL is correct.
if I change the domain destination to the root and not ttg-be, I can publish but then can't get to the login screen.
I deleted the ttg-be and publisher inside it and then re uploaded ttg-be and then put the publisher folder inside it.
man, I am not sure... any ideas?
Thanks

Also , I just read that everything will be changing soon, should I just wait? ;(

Have you installed ttg-be correctly. I just tried looking at your site here: http://nikrocklin.com/ and it shows the ttg-be log in. This is not correct. The domain destination should not be the ttg-be folder.
Anyway, I think Ben is going to need to take a look. He'll likely need ftp access to figure out what's going on. See this page:

CE4 will be supported for the life of LR6/cc2015 and maybe beyond.
If you're having server issues (like it's seeming) then waiting probably won't do any good. It's likely you'd have similar problems.
Might as well get Ben to sort things out and start using the tools. There will be a migration tool to move albums under CE4 Publisher control to Backlight control.
Big conversation about it all going on at the Facebook TTG-User's page

Check with 1and1 again so they point your domain to ~/public_html or something link this and not ttg-be!
Then you would place ttg-be and your generated pages in ~/public_html.
Or you could go to the admin panel at 1and1 and select domain center to make this change.

might be that your server can't handle Parsedown in its version of php? (I don't really know enough to tell if that could be a problem though). Might be another thing to ask your hosting company.

That error is caused by incompatibility between Parsedown (as shipped with TTG BE in versions < 2.0.5a) and PHP 7, which your site is running.
Can you check your available downloads and look for CE4-TTG-BE-205a.zip ? This update addresses the issue. The only file that needs copying over to your sever is ttg-be/framework/lib/Parsedown.php
