After upgrading to CE4, I created a gallery earlier this month, sent it to my client (after testing, of course) and it worked - meaning, after he selected his images and filled in the submit form, I received an email.
I have made several galleries since then, here is one: http://galleries.amcknight.com/clients/qca/blopezhome2/
Although I do "see" the feedback in my "client response gallery admin", I did not receive an email from the client with their choices.
I read some other posts to try to figure it out but I didn't.
and I do not use BlueHost
I tried to attach a screenshot of my settings (mail send type-SMTP, host-smtp.gmail.com, username-alex@amcknight.com, smtp port-465, smtp security protocol-ssl account, etc) but it didn't seem to work

The Bluehost solution Ben mentions might also apply to other hosts, so it's worth a try.

Is your email address (alex@amcknight.com) a gmail address? If not, don't use the gmail smtp settings. Try the regular email

Good Morning Rod, and once again, thank you for your help.
The link you shared that was to help me with adding screenshots to my post did not work.
My email is a gmail address.
I will look into the BlueHost solution and see if that works.

The forum migration borked (Matt's word) the links to old forum posts. Most of those links can usually be found in the Announcements & Information forum. Here's the one on adding images to a post (updated for the new forum software)

Yes my email is Google (Gmail). went to this link and allowed for "less secure apps" to access my account. this fixed the problem but is not the most desirable solution. https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps

The implementation to handle full Google security is insanely complicated and not something we are likely to implement soon, if ever.
'Less secure apps' refers to third-party apps that are holding your gmail credentials on your behalf. When you run TTG on your server, *you* are the third party. The credentials are stored on a site you control and own. There is no other party that has those credentials, including TTG. If we were providing a hosted solution, then this would be a different matter.
By allowing 'less secure apps' to use Gmail, the risk is in which apps you give those credentials to. You can trust TTG apps, as you are the third party. The source code is all there for you to see if you wanted to take a look. Giving those credentials to third parties is where the risk lies.
See this answer on stackexchange for more detail of the risks (or lack of): http://security.stackexchange.com/a/72371

Thank you Ben. I have shared the information with my people that understand what you just said.
