Adding/deleting images to galleries...

I understand what the Publish plug in does, but I want to be able to change images in a gallery easily (and save the changes on my hard drive)  without having to regenerate the whole gallery. Is there a way to do this?

Re: Adding/deleting images to galleries...

If you're not using Publisher, the only way to add/remove images is to make the image changes in the gallery collection then export and upload.

This method does not remove images from the server though. If you want deleted images removed from the server you'll have to do that manually.

Can you use Publisher to make the changes, save it to your hard drive and NOT upload anything to your site?

In Lightroom, Publisher doesn't save a gallery to your hard drive. Your images are in a collection, basically.

You could set up another Publisher instance to create albums on your hard drive, but this would be a separate set of albums than those on your site.
You'd have to set this up in a virtual server environment like WAMP or MAMP.
