I took some tinkering and help by Rod, who I own much thanks. But I upgraded my rather dull site with travel pictures to something more modern. Next phase will be including blogs and projects in new directories. For now it is mainly about destinations. The Asia=> China => tibetan china album sets reall show the versatility of the plugins.

Finally got the time to take a look through your site. Wow! You've been to some places! And interesting too; you've included a lot of great information.
the only suggestion I have is to make the text easier to read. It's harder for the eye to follow text across a wide page, especially with a small font size. And you've got some interesting text that deserves to be read.
If you could reduce the width of the text area, either by always using a sidebar or making the block narrower, that could help. I realize this might be problematic since if you narrow the block or increase the font size, that pushes the image grid farther down the page. But think about it.
I enjoyed exploring
