Slideshow on Home Page?

My site has a slideshow on the Home pages built with TTG CE3.  Is that still an option in the CE4?

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

Hello,

I don't have Publisher (only TTG Pages, Gallery and auto index), is it possible to chose the images I want to see in the slideshow on the home page ?

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

Hi Regine. Pages uses the images in your filmstrip for the slideshow (minus those images assigned to the various pages), so just add more images to the collection you're working in.

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

Yes I know, sorry, my message was not clear.
The images assigned to the various pages are inevitably used for the slideshow ?
Is it possible to use other images without those assigned to the pages ?
I know, it's maybe a strange question.

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

Say you have 20 images in the filmstrip and you've assigned numbers 1, 2, and 3 to the Info, About, and Contacts pages, respectively.
The rest of the images in the filmstrip will be in the slideshow. 1, 2, and 3 will not be.

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

Thank you !
I have no choice, the images I add on a page with html, will appear in the slideshow.

But you don't have to use images that are in the filmstrip for this. You can put images in another folder on the server and then just link to them in the html:

<img src="http://yoursite.com/page-images/image1.jpg">

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

So, I have other problems.
The slideshow works fine, but when I export the pages (on localhost) and look the home page with the slideshow, there are a lot of margin above and under the images.
The identity plate with my name is replaced by the name "Lightroom".
The image on the Info page is not resized (I put Max Width 200px, but the image stay with with 800px).

So much problems that I want to abandon... sad

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

We really can't tell you what's going on without seeing the site. Is there any chance you can put it on live server and post the link?

when I export the pages (on localhost) and look the home page with the slideshow, there are a lot of margin above and under the images.

is this margin/padding or are the images smaller?

The identity plate with my name is replaced by the name "Lightroom".

This should only happen if you've not set up the identity plate in the Web Module under Site Info > Identity
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … 4_identity

The image on the Info page is not resized (I put Max Width 200px, but the image stay with with 800px).

Double check that you've set the size at 200px under the Info Page section of Color Palette.

Then try re-exporting. The export should overwrite existing images, but you could always try deleting the images from the previous export before re-exporting.

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

Hi Rod,

Here is the link, but finally it works : http://www.f-comme-photo.fr/monsite2016-011/index.php

I think the problem is when I try the pages on localhost ! When the pages are exported on internet, all problems disappear !

Re: Slideshow on Home Page?

glad it's working. Don't forget to install ttg-be as well or your contact form won't work
