Location photo on the contact form page

Hello,

Upgrading to CE4 (from CE2). On the contact page, I have two columns and I would like to locate the photo under the text in the first column, but in the settings, the photo is always on the top, is it possible to change that ?
Other question, in general, on any page, is it possible to put the photo in the middle of a text ?

Thank you

Re: Location photo on the contact form page

You'll need to HTML in the block are to insert the image.
See this recent thread: http://community.theturninggate.net/post/34859/#p34859

And this about using inline images: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … lock-text/

Thank you very much Rod, I managed to do what I wanted with HTML !
I think I'm going to use it on another page too.

And if you want to do even more, like have columns of text, check out TTG's Responsive Grid Framework:
http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … framework/

Re: Location photo on the contact form page

Yesterday, it was OK and today, it doesn't work !
Yesterday, I saved my template, and today, the images I put on the page with some HTML don't appear (like if the links were broken). I wrote for example : <img src="photos/_BBC-260.jpg" width="200" class="alignright" alt="Un chemin lumineux rouge sous la Voie lactée" style="margin-top: 24px;">
In the filmstrip, I desactivate the selection and I select again the images in the filmstrip, and they appear again.
Is it a bug ?

Other thing, I've exported the pages to test them on local. When I'm on localhost, I have the home page but when I select another link in the navigation item, I have the message for example "Not Found. The requested URL /services.php was not found on this server." I don't understand, the index is good, the file services.php exist and in Lightroom it seems to be good in the navigation hyperlinks menu, example : Nav hyperlink, Label Expositions, target services. The target is OK.

Is this in Lightroom? Are you using Windows?
This happens to me too. But as long as the images get exported and are in the photos/ folder, it will work.

Are you exporting to a folder in localhost?
I've got several test sites or pages in my local host test environment. They each need to be in their own folder.
To ensure that the navigation works, make sure you include the name of the exported folder in the Site Root in Page Setup
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … up#website

For example, I've got an export in my localhost named "pages"
The site root needs to be /pages/ for that site

Yes it's in Lightroom and I use Windows, that's why I wanted to try in localhost to see if the problem was the same.

Yes, I export to a folder in localhost. Oh, okay ! I put the name folder in the site Root in Page Setup and it works (with TTG CE2, I didn't have to do that).
In the future, before exporting to FTP, I have to think to change the name and put / again.

Thank you Rod !

So I have a lot of work now, with my galleries and subgalleries... I've never use autoindex for the moment and I want to try it...

Re: Location photo on the contact form page

How can I do if I want to have on a page :
- image 1
- text 1 under the first image
- image 2 under the first text
- text 2 under the second image

I write some html like in my message above and like I can see on : http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … lock-text/

Here my html lines :

But the display changes depending on the width screen. When I look at the page on a large screen, the elements move, and the second image is going to the right despite I have wrote "alignleft", and the text moves up. I suppose it is because the pages are responsives, but how can I do to fix the elements ?

I'm a novice in html and css...

Re: Location photo on the contact form page

You'll need to put all that stuff in it's own <div> and probable add some CSS to control the width.
I suggest using the Responsive Grid Framework I linked to above.

Also, if you include a link to one of your pages that exhibits the problem we can be a lot more specific with suggestions.

Re: Location photo on the contact form page

constrain the page width
Go to Site Info > Page Container and set Width to "Fixed" and and set the width in pixels
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … body#width
This will control the width of the contents of the site.

Further, you have control over the width of the block area as well, in case you want your text area even narrower than the rest of the page:
Color Palette > Mantle and Core Width

This explains more about Mantle and Core width: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _box_model

Plus you can take even greater control of layout by using the Responsive Grid Framework
http://ce3wiki.theturninggate.net/doku. … _framework

Re: Location photo on the contact form page

Thank you Rod.
I fixed the width of the Page Container.
For the moment, I chose the simplest.
Maybe in the future, I'll try to control more things.
