hello! I published this issue in another topic but here I go again.
Everything was running smoothly I have been using ttg for at least 4 years, but about a week ago I had kinda of an issue with my internet connection and ended up having to change my router. After that I have been unable to connect to publisher using 2 different computers and setting up a new ttg-be and publisher instance in a different location just to rule out an issue with a specific computer and an issue with a specific publisher instance.
I kinda need help cause I just this wonderful plugin for all my different galleries and have about 8 clients breathing down on my neck right now cause Im just unable to use publisher. I can upload manually all my galleries but there're quite a lot of them and truth be told, once you use publisher you just don't want to use anything else, it's just so great!
I use mac computers, the server is hostgator, you can check on a publish instance I created which is www.maximilianotaylor.com/ttg-be/publisher been the api url and the password is the default for ttg. I create this for the sole purpose of trying my connection which I was unable to resolve. On top of that I used a different internet connection, I shared my phone hotspot and gave it a try, same issue
The issue I have with that specific instance (www.maximilianotaylor.com/ttg-be/publisher) is that it states a problem with the database, and the problem I have with the publisher instance I have my galleries on is that it says :Unable to perform action: checkAuth
Message: The page sent an action which was not available.
The address is the following: http://bululuestudios.com/ttg-be/publisher/
Please help!

To add to this, I've already confirmed that Publisher can authenticate Max's online set up at the bululuestudios. com site as I've been able to do it from my end using credentials Max supplied.
So this seems this could be a router/firewall/port issue.
Max, the error message you were seeing on the maximilanotaylor.com site was most likely because you had not logged in to the Publisher admin. I just did that (you'd left the Admin credentials at default) and now I'm seeing the expected message at:
http://www.maximilianotaylor.com/ttg-be/publisher/
I'm also able to authenticate on this site, (using 'clientes' as the top-level gallery folder)
So again, this seems to be an issue of the router not letting the Lightroom Publisher service from connecting to the internet. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about routers and configuring port settings to be of any more help. Hopefully someone else knows more and can offer suggestions.

Ok thank you for that Rod! I was able to connect to the instance created in http://www.maximilianotaylor.com/ttg-be/publisher/, so that means its working, yet when I try to connect to http://www.bululuestudios.com/ttg-be/publisher/ I get the message I've been receiving all this time:
checkAuth
Message: The page sent an action which was not available.
So this should mean it has more to do with that specific publisher instance than any sort of connection issue.
Thoughts?

then double check that the API URL and the API key are correct.
Especially look to make sure the the www is in the API url:
http://www.bululuestudios.com/ttg-be/publisher/

Now that I think about it, I ran into a similar problem a few months back. My issue was caused by a change I made in my .htaccess file that rewrote the url to take out the www. I did this to deal with some cross-domain broken web font issues.
Did you make any recent changes to your .htaccess file?
Anyway, I'm glad it's all working now!

FYI, if you browse to http://www.bululuestudios.com/ttg-be/publisher/ you should see:
{
"status": "error",
"message": "The page sent an action which was not available."
}
This is the expected result and not a technical error. That's the API telling the expected client, Lightroom's publisher services, that it hasn't told the API what it wants to happen.

Hi! Nope I made no changes to anything basically, as I stated before, the issue started when my internet went down. Just that!
