Hello,
Just asking around to see if there are any freelancers around the place or on this forum that do site designing work as well, I have the AutoIndex, Gallery and Wordpress plugins and am thinking it would be good to get something professionally designed but not sure who can do it around the place.

I'm not sure what you mean. The plugins are not built to be customized outside of what is permitted within the Web module, with additional customizations via PHPlugins. PHPlugins cannot be used to do a total site redesign, though.

Not quite what I meant, it is more that my graphic and site design skills are somewhat lacking and although I have got a theme working on my site, I feel it lacks polish and professionalism (due to my design, not the product).
That is why I was asking about designers, I am curious if there are people on the forums who can set up a site with a semi-specific 'look', like you can get a freelancer to build a wordpress site that looks a certian way, are there designers on this forum who do a similar thing?

though I'm not a web designer, in just messing around and helping a few other people I've set up sites with a variety of different looks.
Have you tried any of the pre-configured templates Matt has made available?

or if you have an idea of what you want a site to look like, you could post a link here and folks can offer suggestions as to how to get there.
Also, take a look around the user showcase for ideas: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/demos/showcase/

Thanks for the suggestion Rod, I think I have found something I am happy with, and also tried the stage addon as well which I love . I ended up getting it going at http://www.travishale.com/
The only thing I am not sure about, is if I have the gallery layout as good as I can, I am using the masonry (flexible) one, but because of my images, I am thinking the descriptive might be better? (http://www.travishale.com/galleries.php)

For indexes, I've always preferred either descriptive or iconic. Unless you've got a lot of albums/other indexes to help fill up the page a bit more.

Thanks Rod, I have taken your suggestion and moved towards the descriptive which looks better since I have a small number of galleries .
