After remodeling my CE3 site with CE4 I got the idea to make a new site with a sort of minialbums. About one temple/attraction/topic etc. Masonry layout. With a short description above it. Something between a blog and the traditional photoalbum style.
But the performance of LR going from selecting a number of images, making a collection within a set and then publishing it worries me a bit.
If a make a site like this I will end up with several hundreds of albums nested 4-levels deep.
Will that be possible with publisher or are there limits ?
Should I do this from a special LR-catalog with duplicated pictures or does that make not much difference ?
Is anyone having experience with this ?

I think Ben mentioned some limit of 7 deep at one time?? Don't know if that still holds
Other than that, I've not heard of any limits to number of images, etc.
Creating a separate catalog for this doesn't make sense to me, at least for what I do. But if you have organizational reasons for multiple catalogs, that's up to you.

Ok 7 deep is more than enough. The separate catalog would be performance wise Because my LR with 50.000 pictures is getting really slow...

The limit was changed from 10 to 20 deep a while back.
