Hi,
I have just installed CE4 Gallery into Lightroom 6 on my windows PC. I am running windows 10. This is the first time that I have used CE4.
I have made a test page consisting of 4 photos on a black background. The 4 photos were in a collection of 4 photos. I uploaded the website using the Lightroom FTP client.
I shows up ok in my PC web browser but only as numbered black squares on my ipad.

However, during the upload I had a message box which said
Missing Images
Export did not complete successfully
Original file is missing "C:\Users\Tony\Pictures\My Pictures2015\Wedding\100035.dng"
Original file is missing " etc etc"
Original file is missing " etc etc"
Original file is missing " etc etc"
JPEG files were created from the best pixel data available in the image cache
However the files are there. I don't get any problem if I used one of the original lightroom templates for the same collection of 4 photos. I can edit them etc within Lightroom.
Any idea why CE4 can't find the images? I presume it converts them to jpg before uploading them. However, it did get the correct images from somewhere, they are on the website.

Hi Tony,
Don't use Lightroom's upload function. It can be buggy. Instead, export the gallery and use a dedicated FTP client to upload.

Rod,
I tried the export but received the same error. This makes me think it is going wrong before the FTP file transfers.
I would not expect the FTP to be trying to uplift DNG files anyway.
I think that it is something more basic, somewhere around making thumbnails and web sized JPGs from the original files.

Make sure that those images are still in the folder where Lightroom is looking.
CE4 Gallery is using Lightroom's processing to output the jpgs, so the problem is likely not with TTG.
In the Library module do you see an exclamation mark on those images? This indicates that Lightroom can't find the originals and that you may have moved them using Windows Explorer rather than using Lightroom.

Rod,
I checked for missing files - everything was there, original photo showed under the histogram, no exclamation marks in grid view.
I then tried the same again with a standard Lightroom template, it exported fine with the same 4 photos.
I then had an idea to start a new web page from scratch. I had saved my first attempt as a gallery and kept using that as my starting point. When I started the new web page from scratch, same 4 photos, everything worked fine. The Lightroom Ftp transfer also worked fine. No missing file messages, worked a lot quicker and the iPad version works well.
My conclusion is that I had made a corrupted initial test gallery, most likely by making multiple changes before it had time to finish making the previous changes and then saving it. For example, I swapped from an 87 photo test to a 4 photo test and then made format changes. Once corrupted, it stayed corrupted and of course I kept trying to re- use it.

Thanks for your help and ideas.

Hi Tony,
I've getting a file not found error on that link, and it's a little unclear to me from your post whether you're still having issues, or have resolved them. If you're still stuck, please post a working link and let us know the problem, and we'll have a look.
Cheers,
Matt
