Hi
Creating a gallery by copying the gallery in the path .../galleries permanent links work as expected
URL in this case is for example: .../galleries/gallery%201/TR_20140529_Mallorca2014_180-single.php
Using the publisher the permanent link does not work. I get an error message
URL in this case is for example: .../galleries/album-4/TR_20130327_Lermoos_025-single.php
Are there any specific steps to follow to use the permanent link feature in case of using the publisher?

do you have a link to share?
Also, don't use spaces in your album/gallery names. Files and folders on the web should use only letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores. No spaces or special characters.

Also be sure you're using the latest versions of CE4 Gallery and CE4 Publisher

It could be a rewrite issue in your .htaccess file. see if this thread can help: http://community.theturninggate.net/top … -phpfiles/

Hi Rod
I changed the .htaccess as suggested in the thread you mentioned and both versions produced the 404 error... (not a 403).
The exact error message on both cases:
You don't have permission to access /galleries/album-4/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
any further idea?

since this is a Publisher issue, Ben may need to see the logs:

Hi, can I confirm that you tried the htaccess as outlined in this specific post and ran the 'update album files' function?
http://community.theturninggate.net/post/23026/#p23026
If so, I don't have other suggestions. It may be that mod_rewrite is not enabled. Can you provide me with FTP access so that I can try and work out what's going on? Please do so via the Email link under my name.
