Hi there,
have updated to Publisher 2.3.1 today and get this error message when logging in to TTG-BE:

Since it worked last time, I have been out photographing and not done anything to my website.
Any suggestions what I need to do next?

Hi Alfred, a directory at ttg-be/data/publisher/database_backups should have been created by the upgrade script. See if it's there in your FTP program and if not, try creating that directory and trying either 755 or 777 permissions until the upgrade works.
Having to do so isn't normal, so I hope that other permissions problems don't arise. Has your cart been functioning correctly before attempting this upgrade?

Thanks, Ben - will do once back from dinner. I am not using cart at all. Just the normal album stuff and CRG.

Couldn't stop myself from trying befor dinner: Needed to change the permisson setting to 777 (of the exisitng directory) then the update completed successfully. 755 was not sufficient.

Oops, I meant Publisher, not Cart. I'm glad to hear you were able to solve it.
