Hi
I (probably stupidly) set my Samsung camera to store images on the memory card in separate folders for different dates. It decided to reset the image names when they are in a new folder - so each folder has images called sam0001.srw, sam0002.srw etc.
The problem comes when I add several different images of the same name to a gallery and then upload via publisher. TTG obviously understands that they are different images as all of them are published, but it gets totally confused about the image order and meta data, with images showing other image's captions and so forth.
Do I have to rename my images to correct this or can TTG be updated to handle this case? I would think this is a perfectly valid scenario, so TTG ought to be able to handle it...

yes, you'll need to rename those images.
Duplicate file names can exist in the same collection but not in the same folder. When you publish a collection, those images are placed in folders together. This is a problem, as you've seen.
TTG is not a file re-namer. You have to make sure you're using good file management practices.
You can use file renaming in Publisher. Don't us the sequential option as this has been known to cause problems.

Thanks
I used Lightroom to rename them by adding the date they were taken to the image name - this solved the problem...#
