alright i think i'm losing it. I can't figure out my client downloads their file after purchasing a digital file. I am using cart with published and think I have everything set up correctly, but no download link comes through with purchase.
Help. thanks
Offline
Ben will need a link to an album and probably at least guest access to ttg-be
It could be you've got something set that requires approval before download is allowed

did you enable the "Enable Offline Digital Purchases" option and have yet to upload the files for download?
In you template (in Output Settings) have you selected the option to have Publisher create downloadable image renditions for sale?

for now you can just post a link to an album that's not acting like you expect and enable guest access to ttg-be

I figured it out! I accidentally had my digital download toggled as a physical item! duh. whoops. No I'm just trying to figure out packages and having a heck of a time.
Offline
I'm glad you're making progress. Where are you having trouble with packages?
Offline
Well I've move from packages already. I just think there are to many combos because we have "add matt" options. I think discount band is better for what we are doing. I added a discount band, but I don't see it showing up in the check out process. Is there somewhere else I have to check to make the band active to my orders?

Figured it out. I think i just needed to refresh the cash a bunch. Now I am attempting to make PICK up at our studio the only option and I get this when trying to add a shipping method Missing argument 1 for GenericEntity::edit(), called in /home/cfey/chenevertphotography.com/ttg-be/cart/application/controllers/AdminController.php on line 754 and defined|#0 /home/cfey/chenevertphotography.com/ttg-be/framework/models/GenericEntity.php(169): ErrorHandler::handleError(2, 'Missing argumen...', '/home/cfey/chen...', 169, Array) #1 /home/cfey/chenevertphotography.com/ttg-be/cart/application/controllers/AdminController.php(754): GenericEntity->edit() #2 [internal function]: AdminController->add_shippingmethod() #3 /home/cfey/chenevertphotography.com/ttg-be/framework/controllers/Controller.php(41): call_user_func_array(Array, Array) #4 /home/cfey/chenevertphotography.com/ttg-be/framework/Framework.php(124): Controller->dispatch(Array) #5 /home/cfey/chenevertphotography.com/ttg-be/cart/index.php(24): Framework->route() #6 {main}|URL: /ttg-be/cart/index.php

Don't forget to click the "Reset the Cart" link in TTG-BE Cart Admin too.
looks like you have an incomplete pricing scheme
Are you still getting that error? You haven't enabled that shipping method yet and you might need to review the free shipping threshold section

UGH. everything is screwed up now. The whole thing is not working... I tried to replace what it was saying was wrong in that message. I replaced the components via ftp it said was missing. and i think i scrambled everything. Think i'm gonna throw in the towel
Offline
you might ask Ben to poke his head in and take a look. He'll probably need TTG-BE admin access as well as FTP access
Where are you seeing errors. Just looking at your ttg-be via guest access, everything looks fine to me. Diagnostics check out and I don't see any red lettering indicating incomplete pricing schemes or shipping.

I emailed him. Hoping he can help. I don't even care about fixing the shipping anymore. Now what is happening is it is only showing digital download available. The physical print purchases have all disappeared from the customer side. It just show digital download.

can you provide links to albums?
you've also got the order for products in your Derby9 pricing scheme set at 16 and 17. Any particular reason for that?
and in your default scheme, the print product order is set to 20.
I don't know if this makes any difference or not, but try setting print to 1 in the default scheme. In the other scheme try setting print to 1 and digital to 2. Just to start eliminating any variables.

You've also got a product with the name of "?". And it doesn't have a delete link next to it. I'm just wondering if that question mark is causing some issues since the question mark is an important part of a php tag. I'm wondering if that's messing something up.
Ben will know though.

Here you go http://chenevertphotography.com/clients … /album-2/. Happy to private message you my admin login.

I'm not sure if this matters. The pricing scheme that page is using is "derby9". However, you don't have "derby9" as a pricing scheme. You do have "Derby9".
I don't know if the capitalization matters, but try changing the name of the pricing scheme for that album.

Hi Jon, thanks for the access details. I changed the pricing scheme name from Derby9 to derby9, and now am able to add items to the cart at http://chenevertphotography.com/clients … a/album-2/
Is there anything else that isn't working as it should?

wow, thank you. such a clear but easy to miss thing i was missing. I don't know why i still get this message when trying to add a shipping method. I actually wanted to have only pick up at the studio as an option.

I see what you mean. That error pops up whenever you try to add a shipping method.
Right now I'm just seeing the one shipping method: "PICK UP ONLY - 805 Ridge Rd. Wilmette, IL"
I'm actually seeing the same message if I click the Add Shipping method in my own cart. Something for Ben to look at

thats comforting to know it's not just me. Do yo know is there an easy way to make the discount code field not show up in the checkout?
Offline
you'll need to use custom css via phplugins for that.

I've found the cause of the error. Something that crept in as part of Cart 3.1.0. I'll have an update out to fix it soon.
If you're keen on fixing this in the mean time, the change is on line 754 of ttg-be/cart/application/controllers/AdminController.php, from:
$result = $entity->edit();
to:
$result = $entity->add();

I have released Cart 3.1.2 with this and one other minor fix. Changelog here: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _changelog
