Limits in Gallery

Is there a limit as to how many photos I can put in a gallery?

Re: Limits in Gallery

When the web-browser crashes, that's your limit.

Re: Limits in Gallery

I know nothing about web-browser crashes. Does that mean there is a small, finite limit to the number of photos I can upload? Or does that mean it is near limitless? Will my website run more slowly if a lot of images (e.g.175) in one gallery?

Re: Limits in Gallery

It means that if you have a whole lot of images the browser might start running slow or crash altogether. Especially if using a Masonry layout.
Mobile browsers will have a tougher time too because of limited memory on mobile devices.

It can also depend on your viewer's ISP or data provider too.

175 may or may not be too much. If you use pagination it probably won't be.
