Seeing the same thing. Revert to the previous version for now, until Matt can take a look.

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

If I restore my website to yesterday would that bring back the website and then I could work on lightroom seperately?

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

you'll need to install the previous version of Pages in Lightroom, then export and upload that.

After which you can reinstall the new version of Pages and mess around with that in Lightroom. But there will no doubt be a next new version coming out after Matt makes the fix.

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

Man, what a mess. I restored my computer to yesterday  when all was well, I restored my website to yesterday as well and I still don't have a gallery page other than that garbage is showed earlier. Where is this coming from?

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

You don't need to restore your computer, just replace the pages web engine with the previous version, export, and upload.

As to where it's coming from, my guess is that the recent fix broke something. And since Autoindex seems to work fine I imagine it's just a small syntax error someplace.
I'm confident that when Matt awakes on the other side of the world he'll find and fix it.

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

Ok, after restoring my computer to yesterday I exported CE4page(version 7013) from lightroom and filezilloed it to my website. My gallery is now working again.
Thanks again for your help. I think I will hold off updating with latest versions.

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

Normally it's not a problem. What happened today is rare.

Re: Gallery crashed after update today

Hi Rod,

I updated today with the latest versions and everything seems to working well. In reading thru the various posts  I saw that I am not the only one being a bit confused and unsure  when updating plugins.

I finally decided that I would make a cheat sheet on the procedure to follow for my particular setup. Windows 7 and a basic site with no cart.

I made a folder on my desktop labeled "CE4 Updates_current date". In the folder I have sub-folders for "unzipped Plugins", "exported LR Templates" and a shortcut to the Lightroom plugin location. I also bookmarked FileZilla with the various web locations that I would access.

Below is the procedure that I followed today and everything seems to be working fine. I know this is not a great revelation but for someone that is not terribly familiar with web sites navigation and relatively infrequent updates, this is a great crutch for me. I am open to any suggestions/improvements or corrections.

CE4 Update Notes for  Windows 7

Change Gateway firewall to low settings

Bookmark site locations with filezilla bookmarks
Shortcut for Lightroom Web folder location

Download new updates to download folder
Extract all files to desktop “unzipped plug-in folder”
Replace all updated .irwebengine plugins in Lightroom web gallery (delete, copy, paste)
    CE4 Pages, Gallery, Auto-Index, Stage

For CE4 Publisher update: follow readme directions on Publisher

Upload ttg-be files to website ttg-be folder as per update readme text doc
Log into TTB-Be Admin and click around (not sure why)

Open Lightroom
Go to Web Module
Check all new plugins updated that they are new version
Open each updated plugin and update user template for same
Export updated plugin to desktop “exported plugins” folder
    CE4 Pages
    CE4 Gallery
    CE4  Auto_Index
    CE4  Stage

Upload exported plugins to Website as follows:

CE4 Pages content folders to:      public_html
CE4  Gallery folder into:              ttg-be/template
CE4  Auto-Index folder into:        ttg-be/template
CE4  Stage folder to:                     ttg-be/template

Thanks again for your patience and help.
