Placing navigation container in masthead

Quick question, and I know I got the answer to this somewhere when I was first creating my CE3 site but I cannot find it now. As you can see here in this link

http://jforbishweddings.com/galleries.php

I some how placed my navigation in the masthead or at least OVER the masthead so that the navigation and identity plate lined up vs identity plate on top navigation below. Since I lost all of my templates due to an unfortunate reformat a few months back, I cannot call up my CE3 pages template to see what I did. I am of course now working in CE4 trying to rebuild newer and better templates.

Something tells me that I had to go into Custom CSS to make them line up, but cannot remember. Any advice? Thanks!

Masthead controls are explained here: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … 4_masthead

Re: Placing navigation container in masthead

Yeah I looked over that earlier today, but it doesn't show how I achieved this look. I tried making it an orphan and of course that didn't do it. If I could place a negative margin on the Navigation I could make it go up over the masthead, but I cannot in LR. I wish I could remember what I had to do to make the navigation and the masthead/identity plate line up on the bottom. Are you seeing what I am referring to?

And I just found the options under Identity to use it for "Integrated" and "Navigation background". Those must be new to CE4? From here I thin I can get it figured out.

Re: Placing navigation container in masthead

Use the "drop" option on the masthead to move it below the navigation

http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … 4_masthead

and I've got a blog post outlining options here: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … n-options/

Re: Placing navigation container in masthead

Very cool ideas in the blog post, but I was looking to get the navigation inline with the identity plate. With a little fiddling both the "Integration" and Navigation background" make this possible without special coding. I played around with the orphan and drop settings but couldn't come to the same inline outcome. I am far from finishing up my new CE4 templates and may play around more with it. Thank you very much again, as usual!
