Gallery with Fotomoto and watermarking

Hi

I have a quick question which Ive been looking for the answer for but could not find in the documentation.
Im adding a gallery to my site which I intend to use for sales via Fotomoto. What Im now trying to find out is first of all if I want to be able to provide fotomoto (and the customer) with a high res picture do I have to click the allow image download box or just make sure that the Large image with is big enough under "images renditions" ?

2n question, watermarking, I would prefer to be able to watermark the large images that is being uploaded to the site using the normal settings in publisher however then it seems like those images including the watermark gets uploaded to fotomoto as well! Is there any good way around this or anything I need to change in my config?

Re: Gallery with Fotomoto and watermarking

When you make a sale, you'll then need to upload the image to Fotomoto.
So any watermarking you do in your gallery doesn't matter, Fotomoto won't be using those files.

Same with your download settings. In fact, nit's probably best to not allow downloads if you're trying to sell.

But Fotomoto reads straight from the gallery as far as I can see and the tumbnail displayed on the fotomoto preview has the watermarking on it!

But to create a print they'll need a hi-res version. You'll get a notification requesting that.

Re: Gallery with Fotomoto and watermarking

I see.. that answers a few questions! I was kind of looking for something like that but without finding that info! Even thou that lays at the Fotomoto end it might be good to add some kind of link or short explanation about it under the documentation you have about the Fotomoto integration as it might help people in the future as well!?

Any how big thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

...it might be good to add some kind of link...

the ttg documentation has this link to "take a tour" at Fotomoto: http://www.fotomoto.com/home/tour
