Setting Up the Cart

Hi, just purchased and setting up the cart.  In the online documentation, I can't access the page "Creating a Cart Enabled Gallery" http://ce3wiki.theturninggate.net/doku. … ed_gallery

I'm just trying to figure out how to publish this.  Does it go through Publisher, or am i exporting and using ftp to up?

Re: Setting Up the Cart

If you're using Publisher, enable Cart support in Output Settings of the CE4 Gallery you're using as a template. Then, when creating the album in Publisher, enable the cart under the Integration tab and enter the name of the pricing scheme you want to use.

As to setting pricing, it depends. Do you want a gallery/album with free downloads and a one with paid downloads, or a gallery/album with a mix of free and paid downloads?

If offering free downloads in a separate gallery you really don't even the cart, unless you want a record of who is downloading what.

If you want a mixed gallery, use the Mixed Pricing option.

Also, if you can be more specific as to where you're running into problems that will make it much easier to offer advice.

But, I've got more here: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … -ttg-cart/

Re: Setting Up the Cart

Alright, to tackle the cart problem first.  It is still greyed out.  What's the problem?  I did all of the above.  Must be something else i'm missing.

Re: Setting Up the Cart

can you enable guest access to ttg-be ?

but also try changing the name of your pricing scheme. I don't know if it matters if you have periods or spaces, but try eliminating those and see what happens

Re: Setting Up the Cart

Guest access enabled.  I renamed the pricing scheme to default.

Re: Setting Up the Cart

I see that the 'default' pricing scheme has only digital downloads. have you created those downloads or are you having Publisher do that (and if so, have you set that up in Output Settings in the template)?

Re: Setting Up the Cart

Yes, it's only downloads.  I've set it up in the template that way, but i would just prefer to place the files there myself if i can.  Is that the reason I can't see the cart?

Re: Setting Up the Cart

OK, figured it out. Kept seeing something saying a mispelling of the web page when loading.  Found the spot.  Fixing it now.  Hopefully that should work.  Then i'll soon run into the next hurdle i know this to be true.

Re: Setting Up the Cart

Stupid mistake...would only help people like me.  In the address to the cart i mispelled the address...svphogo.  So it was looking there for the cart stuff.  Alright, so that works and i figured out the pricing for the different items (thanks for the link).

Is there a way to put a free icon on the pictures that have no charge.  Probably not, but just curious.  I guess i can just write it in the main description on the page.

Is it possible to set up a password to the gallery.  Not one associated with an email becuase i`d like whoever has the link to be able to access the page.

That`s it for now.  I`m sure there will be a few little tweaks here and there.

Re: Setting Up the Cart

Password protection is enabled in output settings for galleries and templates.
For albums it's under the Features tab in the create/edit album dialog

Re: Setting Up the Cart

Right.  I set it up that way...i guess because there's no way to log out, it always logs me in as admin?  That's why i never see the login page?  Anyway, thanks for all your help.

Re: Setting Up the Cart

There are a couple of things you can do to log out.
-Quit and restart the browser.
-Append the gallery's URL with ?logout
