Hello,
When I exported my LR WP pages I had Highslide Slideshow selected and agreed to the licensing.
But I see in WP under theme options I can select Magnific Popup instead of Highslide. When I select this option I still get the Highslide Slideshow.
Do I need to change my option in LR, Export, Upload new template to get the Magnific Popup to work? Or am I doing something wrong in the WP admin to switch from Highslide to Magnific?
Thanks
Brad

I'm not sure. Go ahead and try changing Appearance > Post Gallery Setup > Presentaion: desktop to Magnific Popup and see what happens

Well I tried it but not sure about what happened, it broke my featured images from showing up, did not look like the pop-up i expected, so I have gone back to the Highslide. Maybe you can test it on a site to see if it works correctly.
thanks

I'll give it a try when I get a chance. In the meantime, can you try changing back to Magnific and provide a link to a post containing a gallery?

I got a chance. Quicker than I thought. It works fine for me and the Magnific gallery looks just like I'd expect it to.

Thank you Rod,
Can you let me know what setting you have in WP and in LR.
For example LR WP Template, Appearance:
Now Showing: Blog Home w/ Excerpts
Presentation: Desktop Magnific popup
colors all standard
Check boxes (4) all checked
And then in WP admin tool, Theme Options Adavanced Settings
Enable Lightbox checked
Lightbox for desktop:
Lightbox for mobile
Galleria JS ( should these be checked)
Enable Galleris
Use larger images
Safe Mode ( should this be checked)
Let me know if I have misssed any other settings I should make.
Thanks

Do you mean Magnific? Because if it's "Lightbox" then you may be having a plug-in conflict.
I really don't think that the Now Showing and Presentation: Desktop settings you use in Theme for WordPress really matter. I believe they're just there so you can set things up. Whether Magnific is used for the gallery presentation or not depends on the Theme Options you set in WordPress
If you check Galleria that just means it's available if you use the shortcode for it
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _slideshow
So it's up to you if you want to have it available. You can set it up in Theme for WordPress under Appearance.
we'd be able to tell a lot more if you could post a link to a WordPress post where the gallery isn't behaving as you expected.

Is it possible for you to provide me a screen shot of you WP Theme options to see what you have selected? You are right it is confusing with the work lighbox used in different places.
Thanks

Rod the other confusing point for me is in your example the slideshow looks like the highslide slide show. Maybe i am just confused on what the differences are between the highslide and magnific slide shows.

It's Magnific.
You can easily see the difference by setting Appearance > Now Showing to Single Post w/ Gallery and setting Presentation Desktop to Highslide and refresh the Lightroom preview.
Make sure you've got an image or two in the filmstrip when you do. Take a look at the large image presentation by clicking on one of the thumbnails.
Now switch Presentation: Desktop to Magnific, refresh the view in Lightroom and take a look at what the Magnific presentation looks like.
They are different.
here's my setting in the Advanced tab of Theme Options:
Again, if you post a link to a post containing a gallery we can be a lot more helpful and your problem will probably be resolved a lot quicker. Otherwise we're just guessing.

Thank you very much, the was the perfect tutorial ;-)
I did not realize I could change those views in LR, you just have to wait a few mins for them to refresh.
Thanks Again

So now i understand how to ask the question better, it is highslide that is not showing up correctly.
Here is a blog post with a gallery and you can see when you select a thumbnail you are getting the magnific looking popup.

Here are my lightroom setting that I exported
here are my WP theme option settings
Any thoughts I what I am doing wrong?
I have my TTG Galleries page using highslide and it is working fine

it is just he wordpress site. This is also a very clean new wordpress site to eliminate all my old plugins.
thanks

Rod,
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Just to make sure there were no conflicts, I did a new clean wordpress install, no plugins, with the same setting as above and I still get the same results,
Ugh, sorry I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Double check your settings in Theme Options > Advanced. Did you make sure to click Save Options after choosing Highslide for the Desktop?
I just was able to change it on my test site and the gallery in that test post I linked to changed to Highslide. As you can see here: http://ce4.barbeephoto.com/blog/gallery-test/, it's now Highslide.

Rod,
One last question on this subject, at least for today, is the only option for displaying meta data about the image the caption field? No Title or other Metadata from WP is available?
Thanks Again Brad

whatever is available in the WordPress Media Library Details, which looks to be the caption

Rod,
I just noticed one more item the Highslide WP viewer does not show the location icon when a file has gps data, it does show this in the highslide viewer to the TTG photos. Do you know if there is a setting/selection to show gps location in the WP viewer?
Thanks
Brad

There isn't.
Probably because the galleries shown in WordPress posts are not TTG galleries using Highslide but rather Highslide Galleries in the WordPress environment.
Lightroom handles the processing and uploading of images for TTG galleries to include the gps info from metada and also creates the structure and Google maps coding and icon (Matt's written all the html and php to do this in the galleries)
With WordPress, you use the WordPress uploading and it does its own thing (creating different sized images)
If you want mapping functionality for image galleries in posts, you might need to find a WordPress gallery plug-in that can do that
Basically, Theme for WordPress creates a theme to match the design of your site. It includes some other things common to ttg like Galleria slides shows, flip gallery and more. But most of the customized features are left to the plethora of available WordPress plug-ins.

OK, thank you, Matt did a very nice job on the modifications to the TTG viewer. I will probably just stick with the TTG WP Highslide base code, I am trying to keep this wordpress site with as few plugins/modifications as possible.
thanks again for all the help.
