Hi
So I bought the:
CE4 Web Publishing Bundle
CE4 Stage
CE4 Cart
After 2 whole days, I am just totally stumped, I am not getting anywhere. I don't understand how to use all these items together. I've been reading and reading and reading the instructions. It gives me some clues on how to use arts individually, but how do you use them together.
Feeling rather disillusioned and not very clever either.

have you read and followed this tutorial?

the first thing to start with is just getting something online so you can see that it works. I'd recommend uploading the ttg-be folder to the root of your site followed by exporting and uploading the contents of a Pages export, also to the root of your site.
at that point you'll have something to show us if you get stuck.
This post might help, it's a little dated but it does explain the ttg system: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … -plug-ins/
If you have any specific questions please do post them. At this point we can only suggest you read tutorials, etc.

Hi Rod
Well, I managed after 2 days to get something up on the site. But nothing really works...

Well so far so good. What's not working, other than most of the links in your menu go to pages that don't exist yet (or are at another location)?
That will be an easy fix once I know more.
If you can give us more specifics of what you're trying to accomplish and what you've already done, we can help point you in the right direction. As it stands now, it looks like you're starting to get there.
An easy next step is to put a few images in a collection, go to the Web Module, load up CE4 Gallery fill in the Album Info and export. Then upload the entire exported gallery folder via FTP to your site's /galleries/ folder.
On your site, click on the Galleries page link and you'll be taken to your Galleries page where you should see a link to the test gallery you just uploaded.

The pages that are not working are the ones I have added: Photography, Design, Tuition, Terms and Store.
I have added these in the Navigation Hyperlinks. ( Label Photography and Target photography ).
I know those pages don't exist, that's my problem....I can't figure out how to do this.
I will try your suggested next step.

Oh crackers...getting something...
You mean....there is hope on the horizon?
Offline
Plenty of hope.
Just because you add a link to the navigation doesn't mean a page of the same name will be created.
Pages will create, on its own, six pages: Home, Galleries, Contact, About, Info, and Services.
You can repurpose some of those. For example, you can label the services.php page anything you like. You might give it the label "Products" in the menu, but the URL will still be services.php.
If you need to create other pages you can use Stage for that.
Take the Photography page you want.
Design it in Stage and export it, naming it "photography." Upload the entire exported folder to the root of your site.
In your menu, make the label "Photography" and set the target as /photography. That's it.

Hello Rod.
I nearly got it figured out I think....
There is one more burning question:
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/demos/showcase/
How is that done?
I would like to click on an image that is linked to a menu item.
I want 3 images on my home page: Photography, Design and Tuition.

I would like to click on an image that is linked to a menu item.
there are a number of ways to do that.
For the Showcase page, Matt us using Autoindex along with the Autoindex Enabler (which I believe comes with Pages and Autoindex).
The Autoindex Enabler is usually used to add non-ttg galleries to your Galleries page or other autoindex page. But in this case Matt is using it to provide links to external sites.

Your site looks great. Are you still using TTG?
Offline
Oh yes. I use TTG Pages/Gallery/Autoindex/Stage/Theme for Wordpress for my main photo site and WordPress with a theme made with TTG Theme for Wordpress for my workshops site and my ttg-tips site.
