Control of Font Size in the Status Bar?

CE3 Client Response Gallery had control of the font size in the Status Bar and I believe also control of the size and color of the Status bar.
Why did this go away in CE4Client Response Gallery ?  I'm not a fan of the large clunky font on the bar.

You can change it with custom CSS. I think it's been brought up in the forum before so you can try a search. Otherwise when I get back to my PC I can let you know what the selectors are.

Color of the status bar can be controlled in Output Settings

Re: Control of Font Size in the Status Bar?

Thanks Ron.  If I modify with custom CSS will I have to do that every time I export a gallery? (1-3 times/week)  Or will it live in my LR User Template so that it happens automatically.

Sorry if that's a dumb question.  I'm not a programmer/coder.

If you set up custom CSS via phplugins the code will available to all galleries

Re: Control of Font Size in the Status Bar?

actually, the symbols in the status bar are Font Awesome icons (for some reason I was thinking of the Cart status bar). You can change the size with custom css and probably swap out the icons (if you can find others you like instead) with some jQuery maybe.... I'm guessing anyway.

Re: Control of Font Size in the Status Bar?

AND I guess I'm confused why this important (because it's at the top of EVERY gallery page) control option was removed from the CE4 version when it was offered in CE3...

Re: Control of Font Size in the Status Bar?

it's at the top of every gallery page because it contains the necessary controls to dim unselected images and it contains the necessary link to submit the selects.
The CE3 version had a submit form built in to the page. This prevented pagination, something a lot of people complained about.
The new version remedies that. But it requires some way of submitting, therefore the submission button in the status bar.
It also contains a logout button, something else that's necessary for managed CRG albums.

And yes, in CE3 you could disable image selection and remove that bar, but that sort of defeats the purpose of the gallery.

CE4 provides a bunch of features that users have been requesting for a long time, things that weren't possible by just relying on Lightroom's Web Module. And so, changes. They are what they are.
