I am a bit stuck, I uploaded ttg-be to my server, I see that it is there when I go to my site but there is no place for a password, I am not sure how to implement the instructions below, how do I check the folder permissions?
Check the folder permissions on /ttg-be/data/ These will most likely need to be 755. 777 is sometimes needed

you can check folder permissions using your FTP program. Usually by right clicking on the folder and choosing something like "file permissions"
if that doesn't fix it, be sure to post a link

I right clicked on the ttg-be folder in my FTP and accessed permissions, I changed from 755 to 777, I still do not get a login option, just a blank page

yes, I created a folder called ttg-be on the server and uploaded the folders and files inside

you created a folder named ttg-be?
you don't need to create it. You only need to upload the unzipped ttg-be folder from your download. And then upload the unzipped crg/ folder to ttg-be

I will delete and upload the whole folder named ttg-be, so you think it makes a difference to upload it as one?
Offline
Not sure. At any rate, it can't hurt to follow the installation instructions exactly. That will at least eliminate one variable.
and if you created a ttg-be folder and then uploaded the ttg-be folder to it, the normal url to login won't work, it would need to be yoursite.com/ttg-be/ttg-be

I started from the beginning and uploaded the ttg-be folder, still no login window, my client is waiting for their work, I need to get this going, can you send me an image of how it should look? I also tried changing the permissions from 755 to 777, still does not work

This is sounding like a server/hosting issue that Ben will need to look into

I can have a look at this if you set me up with ftp access and send the details using the Email link under my name.

Hi - did you solve this problem? What was the issue as I am experiencing the same problem. I have changed folder permissions to 777 and I don't get the mkdir permission error anymore, but I just get a blank page presented - no login window when I go to <url>/ttg-be/admin.
Doing a view source on the page shows that the page is not being served at all (completely empty). I have ran phpinfo and that looks fine, so I know php is running and operating okay.
Unfortunately I cannot share the login details as I'm behind a corporate firewall.

my problem has not been solved, I am planning to create a temp login for FTP so the turning point folks can have a look

Hi Zeesi, that would be most helpful. Please send the details to my email via the Email link under my name.
LJR69, since you are behind a corporate firewall, can I assume that you or your company manages the server? If so, it should be straightforward to look at the PHP error logs for any errors. Many servers will not process sites with 777 permissions, as the permissions can be deemed too insecure for the particular environment. That often explains a complete failure to load a page.
When running with 755, what is it that isn't working? Can you provide any error messages or screenshots?

Zeesi - thanks.
Hi Ben - thanks. Let me see if I have access to the php log and check what the permissions are set to. I think I set them to 777 to allow TTG-BE to create the folder but I think the server forced the perms back to 755. I'll post back when I've done that check

ben, I guess you see I sent you login info for FTP, looking forward to getting up and running

Zeesi, I replied to you 12 hours ago. Check your messages via the 'PM' link at the top of the page.

I think I've hijacked zeesi's thread a bit (sorry zeesi), so I've taken my problem to a new thread: http://community.theturninggate.net/post/28911/#p28911
Thanks

ben,
I was in touch with my web host, here is what they said:
"This problem was because you were using the incorrect php.ini version for your version of PHP. I have corrected the php.ini set up on the account and now you can see on this info page that the PDO drivers are available:
http://yiftachphotography.com/info.php
There certainly was a problem loading the modules due to the php.ini file you were using, though this is now corrected so that would not be the reason that the admin page you provided isn't working."
this don't seem to be able to resolve the issue
any suggestions?

Hi Zeesi, sorry that was failing due to a debugging statement I had added to work out where it was failing.
The change of php.ini, and removal of the statement, has the admin working now: http://yiftachphotography.com/ttg-be/admin/

great! I'm up and running, much thanks

hello,
I am experiencing a problem, since we worked together I am unable to login to my wordpress website, the error message says too many redirects, yiftachphotography.com is an addon site and sits within my site zeesi.com, can you have a look, otherwise my webhost advises a restore which would possibly undo the work we did together to get the client response gallery going, we have a number of client's websites up that need to remain there undisturbed
please advise

Hi Zeesi, if I recall correctly the only change made based on my advice was to enable the PDO and SQLite modules. Is that correct? If so, then it should have no bearing on your wordpress installation.
Can you explain further how to see the redirect issue? Please send me a PM if it requires any confidential details.
Your webhost's advice does not sound helpful.
