Universal Feedback for family

I want to let the family add comments to "photos" and let everyone see the comments.

I have 100's of crapy scanned newspaper articles from a grandfather's life writing newspaper articles.
All sorted simply by Date, not topic.  7 years writing for a daily newspaper.

No way to find the story about Uncle Rolo and the carnival in the 30's
Or the neighbor who put in a wood fire place to save money, bought a chain saw, then a 4x4 truck, then almost cut his leg off in the woods chopping down trees.  all to save money.

I want to create a site. Post up the jpeg images.
Let the family read, add comments/define a the topic of a jpeg...

But, I want everyone to see the comments, and Search the comments.  like Uncle Rolo

And have the added comments shown along with simple titles/file name Meta data in the gallery.

Is Client Response Gallery a solutions?

Re: Universal Feedback for family

You can manage the gallery with Publisher and give everyone the same login. That way any of them can log in and see any comments made. Metadata can be displayed.
Searching is not possible though.

Re: Universal Feedback for family

Sounds like you'd be better served posting images in WordPress. You can put a gallery in a page or post, then have the thumbnails link to individual image pages. Those pages can support comments, descriptions, etc. CE4 Theme for WordPress allows you to do all of this. I'm not usually a huge fan of managing galleries through WordPress -- which is a large part of why our gallery solutions exist -- but with the needs you've put forth, it's probably the best thing for you.
