...and finally its ready - CE4 with pages, blog and full screen flip

Hi All,
At last its ready to be shown to the world. I'll appreciate feedback from anyone - compliments are nice, but constructive criticism is much more valuable.

BTW I do have one issue that I struggle with - the metadata labels on the thumbnails. Ive changed them in the galleries template uploaded into ttg-be, but the old labels are sticky and remain. Any suggestions??

Kind Regards
Georg

after you made the change to the templates, did you also republish the images?

If not, give that a try. Edit your Publisher settings and check the "Push metadata...." check box to make the republishing much faster.

Re: ...and finally its ready - CE4 with pages, blog and full screen flip

Hi Rob,
I republished several times, no joy.

A bigger problem however. Some images will just not display in the light-box / slideshow.
For example the dragonfly image in this gallery - http://georghofmeyr.com/galleries/Revie … 150-600mm/

I've deleted the image from the publisher album, then published, then added it back then re-publish again - no Joy. The only strange thing - I used that image as the album set thumbnail, then changed the set's thumbnail back to random. The album set does not want to display an image now either, despite several re-publishings?

Any suggestions?
Kind Regards
Georg

you've got parentheses in the file names. Get those out. Use only letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores in file and folder names. No spaces or special characters.

what exactly are you expecting to see for metadata

when you changed the metadata to display in your template, did you change it in Image Info and the Publisher section in Output Settings?

Rob, you're a genius - thanks.

You were spot on on the parenthesis in the name (it snuck through) - re-publish did not work, I had to delete the image in the website folder to force creation of a new name.

Secondly, I forgot all about changing the metadata in two places - that fixed it, thanks.

I'll do the rest after work this evening.
Kind regards
