Background Audio for CE4?

Is there a provision to provide background audio in a CE4 gallery setup? If not, what is a good way to set that up using plugins? A volume slider? Etc.?

Thanks.

Re: Background Audio for CE4?

there is no provision in the plug-ins for this, but there are plenty of references on the web about how to include music. Most of the code looks like basic html that you can either include in a copy block or insert via phplugins.

It's probably a good idea to make the inclusion of music a choice of the user. Or provide a button to stop the music. I find music that automatically plays on a website one of the most annoying things ever invented by man and I usually just exit said website.

Second that.

Another problem is that you and I may not have the same taste in music. So if I land on your site, and you're playing a Taylor Swift song, I am gone, gone, gone.

Of course, you don't have the rights to play a Taylor Swift song on your site. So if you want to be legal about it (a super good idea), you will need to plunder music from a royalty free site, or record something of your own. You may find a gem, but more than likely you get what you pay for ...

Re: Background Audio for CE4?

I write my own music, first of all, so that won't be an issue. The default will be off. And Taylor Swift (or any other pop star) can go get stuffed.
