My site has been up and running for a couple of years now, but with galleries only one level deep. I update them through Publisher (CE3). I now want to introduce some hierarchy to my galleries. It's a long time since I installed the main components and I think my grey cells that contained the info have died off so I am struggling a bit to remember how I did it!
Am I right in saying that the original CE3 Gallery module included an Auto Index function for single level galleries? If so this might explain why I cannot find Auto Index on my computer! All I can find is Auto Index Enabler, but not sure how it got there...
So, I will need to add the CE4 Auto Index module if I want to generate and Auto Index for album sets? Will Auto Index CE4 work happily with my CE3 modules?
Many thanks!

CE3 Autoindex is separate from CE3 Gallery. But Pages contains one autoindex in the form of the Galleries page. That might be what you're thinking of.
I don't know if CE4 Autoindex is compatible with CE3 Publisher. I can test it out and get back to you. Matt or Ben or someone else may be along before that.

And...no. CE4 autoindex is not compatible with CE3 Publisher.
Publisher will create the album set, but when you go to the actual page, there's a fatal error.

Thanks for the reply Rod.
So if CE4 Auto Index is not backward compatible with the rest of my CE3 modules, can I still get hold of CE3 Auto Index. I could not see that available to download, hence the question about CE4. Or will I have to upgrade everything? (hope not!)

Until a week or two ago, CE3 AutoIndex was still included in the CE4 AutoIndex. But that's not the case anymore. Contact Matt to see if you still can get a copy of CE3 AutoIndex if you buy the CE4 version.
Upgrading to CE4 might take a bit of work, but it is totally worthwhile.

I don't know if CE3 Autoindex is still available. I know Matt was updating the store
